THE DAILY BREAKDOWN
DAY 1: AWARENESS OF HABITS
We kick off by bringing awareness to the sleep habits of each person, both individually and when together. This may be the first time you've explored this side of yourself since sleep is a fairly unconscious act and you may discover new insights into your health, lifestyle and character.
DAY 2: IDENTIFYING YOUR SLEEP NEEDS
Today, we'll explore what each of your needs are when it comes to sleep and how to best communicate them to one another, as well as how to find balance when your needs are different or opposing.
DAY 3: CREATING A SLEEP ROUTINE
Using the knowledge from the past two days, you'll now determine what the ultimate sleep and wake routines are for yourself as an individual and together as a couple. This will include timing, activities, noise levels, acceptable distractions and healthy boundaries.
DAY 4: OPTIMIZE YOUR SLEEP SANCTUARY
Today, you'll figure out how to turn your bedroom into a sleep sanctuary that works for you both. Maybe you each have your own place that the other sleeps over in, so how can you make it an oasis for both without compromising style, tastes and lifestyle? If you share a place together, this will be an opportunity to bring a refreshed look to your bedroom and how you interact with it.
DAY 5: ADDRESSING COMMON DISTURBANCES
By this point the goal is to have created a healthy dialogue around sleep, which will come in handy when we bring up the disturbances that each partner may bring to the table (or bed, rather). Topics will include snoring, teeth grinding, kicking, pulling the covers over and even having dogs in the bed. With today's prompts, you'll know how to have a loving and compassionate discussion around these topics and know what to do to address them.
DAY 6: SEX, TIMING & INDIVIDUAL NEEDS
Now for the juicy part, sex. Since the only two activities that should happen in bed are sleep and sex, it's important to discuss this area of relationships. I'll shed light on the different hormonal needs of each gender and why one person may want sex at another time. We'll also discuss how improving your relationship with your bedroom will improve sex, mattress sanitation (sexy, right?), the connection between sleep and sex and where sleep fits into evening and morning routines.
DAY 7: SETTING HEALTHY BOUNDARIES & OFFERING LOVING SUPPORT
On the final day of the course, you'll learn why it's important to set boundaries when it comes to your sleep and how to do it. We'll also go over what to do if a partner develops a chronic sleep issue or is going through a difficult time and can't sleep. After this lesson, there will be no more late-night heavy talks unless both partners want it and no more rolling away from each other fuming before bed.

WHO AM I?
My name is Kelly Benson and I'm a Sleep, Stress and Mindful Energy Coach that works with clients from around the world on improving their sleep and finding greater energetic balance in their lives. As a certified holistic health, sleep science and stress management coach, it is my passion to help others improve their life and performance through the lost art of sleep.
Through my 7-Step Performance Sleep Method, I've helped people overcome insomnia, daytime fatigue, disturbed sleep and depleted energy. I used these learnings in the design of this email course while also blending in my own personal experiences as a mindful communicator and committed partner.
Through my years of sleeping with other humans, I've learned how awful it can be to not discuss sleep with your partner and have found myself compromising my own health and sanity in the process. My hope with this course is that you will add years to your life by improving your sleep and joy to your romantic relationships.
